Stunning story from the Army Times, that notorious outpost of the anti-military far left. I won't try to summarize, because you have to read the whole thing. It's all right there, for anyone who cares to see it. A little over a quarter of the country still doesn't care to, which is long past being a merely shameful choice.My thanks to Ahistoricality for bringing this one to my attention.

Thinking about it, one of the really interesting and heartening things about the article is that the situation with the platoon was, ultimately, resolved without significant penalties. That a mental health system exists in the military and that it is taken seriously enough to -- not without struggle, but eventually -- overcome an issue like this means that there's still a heart in it.
That the war goes on and that it took so long to resolve, etc., means that defibrillation may be in order....
