A Sri Lankan military post has just been attacked by Tamil Tiger aircraft. I'm sure there will be more to read here later today.

The deer are buying hunting rifles. Or pick your own metaphor, if you don't like that one. But here we go, right into the odd new day.

Heinlein, in Friday argues that states are fundamentally vulnerable to stateless forces (He's talking about corporations, but it applies to ethnic groups as well) because the state is a sitting target.

I'm reminded of the old bumper sticker: "I support the right to arm bears."

The government condemned what it called a "cowardly" attack, which followed weeks of air force raids on rebel targets in the north and east
Obviously Sri Lanka needs to upgrade both their IADS and their PA.
