and a question
If John Kerry believes that combat experience makes him uniquely qualified to serve as commander in chief -- and that Bush's lack of combat experience makes him less qualified to do the same -- then why did Kerry pick John Edwards as a running mate?

Maybe I'm ill-informed, but isn't at least the implicit emphasis not on the fact that Bush not serving in combat makes him a bad President, but the fact that he slipped his duty? It's not that you need to have actually killed someone or what not to be a good president, it's the fact that Bush is sending soldiers to die when he was unwilling to fight himself. Is this too obvious?
